Review for utilization of gasket silica stripes from silica threads, produced by OJSC "Research Institute "Glassplastics and fiber"
"Sakura" company used gasket stripes from silica threads as gasket element between glass and metal frame in fire-prevention gasket apertures. This construction passed tests on fire-resistance under conditions of temperature growth according to standard conditions of temperature from 0 °C up to 900°C during 50 minutes.
Form change, elastic data, stability of material (stripe) under direct contact with burning hot body (fusing together with metal) were not observed.
